Job Title: Manager, Finance II

We are seeking a strong Senior Accounting and Finance management professional to work in headquarter office of the ECS NA division of Arrow Electronics. The individual must possess strong business acumen and thrive in a dynamic business environment. The position will be responsible for managing the accounting and finance functions of the business unit.

This position will be responsible for overseeing monthly reports for the ECS NA business units, leading the analysis of the P & L for the business units. This position will also work with business leaders to understand the impact of current trends on the business in order to prepare and oversee annual plans and monthly and quarterly forecasts and quota-setting.

This position will have some exposure to pricing, extended terms, and other business deals and the resulting profitability models. This position will require a strong grasp of Excel and understanding of the various lines of the business unit P & L and their effect on the financial outcomes of the business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and Forecasting: Working with business leaders to provide value added advice on business trends and their effect on forecasting for the P & L down to the operating income level. Preparing annual plans and quarterly and monthly forecasts based on the impact of these trends on the business units.

  • Reporting: Interpret and provide business recommendations through monthly reports to support the business unit. Strong excel and communication skills are required.

  • P & L Analysis: Lead the analysis and interpretation of the business unit results with limited guidance and support from Senior-level analyst.

  • Deal Analysis: Understand and interpret financial models to determine the profitability and return on working capital of deals with guidance and support from Senior-level analyst, and make recommendations to senior leaders.

  • Presentations: Prepare and support VP/GM in executive level presentations, QBRs & other executive level engagements. Work with other finance teams to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Complete additional role-appropriate tasks

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong accounting/finance knowledge and analytical abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with accounting groups, selling teams, management and finance teams

  • Passionate about the use of technology to solve business problems with an advanced level of knowledge of Excel

  • Key personal characteristics include motivation, attention to accuracy, priority setting, and customer service orientation and drive to meet deadlines

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance or Accounting required

  • 5-7 years related experience required, preferably with previous Distribution or Arrow exposure

  • 2 plus years of experience managing direct reports.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Act as a strategic partners to the business

  • Can initiative and drive change

  • Strong interpersonal and influential skills

  • Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Proven ability to prioritize

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance or related field or CPA

  • Experience with Oracle ERP/ eBusiness Suite

  • Working knowledge of financial modeling and scenario analysis
