Job Title: Manager, Finance I
We are seeking an Accounting and Finance management professional to work in headquarter office of the ECS NA division of Arrow Electronics. The individual must possess strong business acumen and thrive in a dynamic business environment. The position will be responsible for managing the accounting and finance functions of the business unit.
This position will be responsible for preparing monthly reports for the ECS NA business units, as well as conducting guided analysis of the P & L for the business units. This position will also work with business leaders to understand the impact of current trends on the business in order to assist in the preparation of annual plans and monthly and quarterly forecasts and quota-setting. This position will require a strong grasp of Excel and understanding of the various lines of the business unit P & L and their effect on the financial outcomes of the business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Planning and Forecasting: Work with business leaders to understand how the business trends affect monthly quota-setting and forecasting for the P & L down to the operating income level. Help prepare annual plans and quarterly and monthly forecasts based on the impact of these trends on the business units.
Reporting: Work with large quantities of data to prepare user-friendly monthly reports to support the business unit. Strong excel and communication skills are required.
P & L Analysis: Conduct analysis and interpretation of the business unit results with limited guidance and support from Senior-level analyst.
Deal Analysis: Prepare data for use in models to determine the profitability and return on working capital of deals with guidance and support from Senior-level analyst.
Presentations: Prepare and support VP/GM in executive level presentations, QBRs & other executive level engagements. Work with other finance teams to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Complete additional role-appropriate tasks
The successful candidate has strong accounting/finance knowledge and analytical abilities, and should be passionate about the use of technology to solve business problems, including a high proficiency with MS Excel.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance or Accounting required
5-7 years related experience required, preferably with previous Distribution or Arrow exposure
Strong analytical skills
Act as a strategic partners to the business
Can initiative and drive change
Strong interpersonal and influential skills
Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Proven ability to prioritize
