Manager, Application Marketing Engineer

Job Description:

Arrow is seeking a dynamic Engineer/Creative Technologist to join the digital team and help engage and inspire’s growing audience through best-in-class projects and content that highlight Arrow’s electronics components, resources, and tools.

The Creative Technologist’s role will focus on creating content that meets the needs of Arrow’s engineering audiences, integrates into marketing campaigns, establishes Arrow and as a thought leader in the industry and aligns with current market trends. The Creative Technologist will work closely with our supplier marketing team, our SEO team, and our Ad Operations team to help drive value for the engineer through all of our marketing endeavors. This person will be a visible representative of; they will write articles and blogs for and feature prominently in video media on our website and across our social channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Best-In-Class Content

  • Translate market knowledge and technological prowess into outstanding content including blogs/articles, how-to guides, and videos.

  • Use components and tools to create original projects. Also provide accurate and in-depth documentation/content around these projects suitable for digital publishing.

  • Build ad campaign content for and for’s suppliers related to emerging technologies, new products and more.

  • May specialize in a specific engineering field, but has the ability to apply skills across broader technology arena.

  • Assess Audience Needs

  • Understands competitive electronics environment and how Arrow can differentiate itself.

  • Keep a “finger on the pulse” of the engineering and electronics communities to identify emerging industry trends and understand how can help lead these movements at a grass roots level.

  • Support Marketing Campaigns

  • Helps support internal marketing, advertising and other departmental needs on an as-needed basis.

  • Works closely with content team to help provide input on thematic editorial calendar, strategic content decisions, and how to make a meaningful impact in the world of digital content marketing.

  • Work with Arrow partners, as needed, to build out content to support our strategic relationships and to leverage our partner networks.

  • Serve as technical liaison for digital marketing organization to help guide promotional and marketing efforts.


  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related subject

  • 3+ years of experience in the electronics components or semiconductor industry

  • Ability to clearly document projects in writing and provide “how-to” content

  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical design, various prototyping and fabrication techniques, PCB design and writing functional code.

  • Ability to see projects through from concept to completion

  • Proven ability to deliver video content

  • Passion for building, engineering and electronics, with an eye for design and interactivity

  • Ability to work fast, adapt, and take constructive criticism in the course of a project

  • Natural curiosity and a desire for continuous learning

  • Thrives on experimentation while maintaining efficient processes

  • Personality, presence, and a willingness to speak on camera

  • Excellent written, verbal, and physical communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills
