Warehouse Associate Lead

Job Description:

DUTIES / ACTIVITIES :

  • Will be involved in new and reoccurring projects that involve product identification, data entry, tear-down, testing and packaging of electronic components on multiple projects.

  • Coordinates with supervisor and support functions to establish work instructions and timeline.

  • Trains employees on work instructions and ensures proper follow through.

  • Leads employees to meet or exceed customer commitments. Collaborates with the Test Supervisor to move manpower based on needs.

  • Reports errors/problems and helps troubleshoot.

  • Maintains an acceptable level of supplies.

  • Ensures quality of work performed and information gathered.

  • Keeps work areas organized and safe.

  • Helps with process improvement.

  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position involves sitting and or walking for considerable lengths of time. Bending to floor level is required. Heavy lifting may be required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • A high school diploma is required

  • At least five years of warehousing experience in electronics distribution

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including proficiency in daily use of Excel, Word, Outlook

  • A-Plus Certifications preferred

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Must be able to work well under pressure.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills required.

  • Lean manufacturing experience (Six Sigma 5S, other) preferred

  • Leads full time employees. Oversee the daily activities of the distribution center.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and supervision of all distribution center

  • employees.

  • Seeks and suggests input from other functional groups in an effort to improve process and develop a more cohesive team.

  • Team Lead experience is required.

  • Experience shipping, receiving, and packaging electronic components id is preferred.

  • The Lead is required to be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Strong organizational skills and attitude a must.

  • Must be able to learn a new process quickly and 100% effectively.
