Senior Manager, Systems & Process Engineering

Job Description:


Primarily responsible for the strategic direction and project management of Oracle Discrete Manufacturing, the Arrow Automated Production Environment, and Production Reporting Services system enhancements and process improvements. This role is responsible for scoping of business requirements, interpreting business needs, translating technical requirements into solution design, ensure business testing and validation to support ongoing business requirements.


  • Partners with business leaders to develop short and long-term strategic initiatives for future system enhancements to ensure continuous process improvement and cost reduction.

  • Acts as a conduit between Production Services leadership and IT to develop business requirements for Oracle Discrete Manufacturing system enhancements.

  • Develops and manages project plans, deliverables and estimates to ensure timely and successful solution implementation.

  • Drives process standardization through the design of the system in coordination with management and engineering teams.

  • Ensures all employees are proficient in their system knowledge through partnering with the learning and development department to deploy standardized training.

  • Coach, mentor and train team in business requirements development, system and software development, data management and reporting.

  • Effective communication with all levels of management from production operators to VPs of Logistics, Sales and IT.

  • Maintains professional and technical expertise through direct supplier trainings and industry workshops

  • Analyze business problems in the development of solutions that ensure the efficient operations of manufacturing and integration business units

  • Manages an indirect staff of up to 10 in support of the systems and processes for which the role is responsible.


  • BS in a technical, engineering, computer science, or business management related field or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years’ experience in solution design, business analyst or process engineering

  • Preferred experience with Oracle based systems

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities, perform in-depth investigation and problem solving analysis, have strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to apply procedures and concepts within own technical/subject area that is often learned through college level courses or extensive, specific work experience.

  • Ability to successfully function in a highly analytical role that includes upfront calculation and analysis of data, systems, evaluative judgment and logic to determine cause and effect prior to change implementation. Ability to perform post-change analysis to determine if objectives were met and changes were successful and are sustainable. Ability to perform risk assessment and identify decision points.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and other employees, regardless of organization function or level.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Ability to operate independently in a fast paced work environment and possess strong organization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
