In your role as a Logistic Engineer your main responsibility will be supporting the new business opportunities. Arrow is growing the business by offering logistic solutions in combination to its technologies solution supporting our customer’s challenges. You will be responsible as the first point of contact from a logistics perspective to sales and the customer.
The main task will be to create a standardized process for quoting as well as for the implementation.
As point of contact within logistics for these new businesses you will have contact with all required departments within logistics (operations, it, export, compliance, finance, etc.) to get the quotes created, support the sales teams and the customer projects implemented.
You will be part of the engineering team in Venlo which main objective is to optimize and implement new processes. As part of this team you will also take part in these kinds of projects when the main activity allows this. Within these projects you will review the process, describe changes and finally implement them as a project manager.
You will report to the Manager Logistic Engineering.
We are looking for a “hands-on”, analytical and energetic engineer who likes challenges of setting up new businesses, enjoys commercial thinking and implementing new projects. You have at least a bachelor (HBO) level in Logistics, business administration or similar and about 5 years’ experience in an (commercial ) engineering role within logistics. You have knowledge of creating and standardizing new processes as a challenge and you are experienced with creating new business opportunities in collaboration with customers.. Next to that you are an independent project manager, you are communicative and not shy in presenting your offer. Furthermore you like to work in a dynamic and highly automated environment. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen is a plus.
The position may require limited international travel.
