Job Description:

immixGroup is seeking a Market Intelligence Analyst to join their team.

Are you a “numbers person” with a knack for finding usable information that is buried in large data sets? Are you able to “connect the dots” to see trends that others miss? Are you familiar with (or interested in learning about) how the government buys technology and how software and hardware products are sold?

In the role of MI Analyst, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing customer and market data related to sales of enterprise software and hardware in the public sector. We’ll ask you to draw meaningful conclusions from this data to develop and qualify customer call lists that will drive targeted sales and marketing campaigns. You will collaborate with marketing and sales personnel to measure results of these call campaigns. Finally, you will use your knowledge of IT to categorize technology product sets to improve data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Researches, analyzes, and draws meaningful conclusions from customer and market data

  • Collaborates with internal organizations to target and execute pointed sales campaigns based on analysis of customer and market data

  • Actively engages with sales and marketing teams to enforce campaign execution and measure campaign effectiveness metrics

  • Reports on weekly, monthly, and quarterly conversion rates, time to close, and caller effectiveness rates relative to data-driven campaigns

  • Proactively assembles data for effective sales campaigns to identify future business opportunities and presents that data to other stakeholders in the organization

  • Manually aligns product individual products with technology segments to improve reporting and analytics capabilities

  • Offers insights and improvements on existing processes and data source manipulation

  • Supports the creation of competitive intelligence and additional research projects as needed

Position Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in a quantitative field such as economics, finance, statistics, political science, or information technology

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, which could include a combination of market research, statistical analysis, technology sales, business development, management consulting, government experience, etc.

Highly Desirable Attributes

  • Knowledge of, and interest in, research and analysis methodologies, business analysis, and/or sales operations

  • Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Excel along with software for data visualization, analytics, and reporting

  • Ability and desire to interact with sales teams and to implement a closed-looped process to measure results of sales campaigns

  • Understanding of IT and the federal technology acquisition process

  • A detail-oriented, self-starter with strong organization and quantitative skills

  • Solid, well-rounded business acumen and ability to work both independently and in a team setting in a fast-paced environment
