Position Scope:

In this key position, this person will assist the Senior Manager, Indirect Taxes, in the day-to-day maintenance and direction of all escheat property activities for North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply technical expertise to conduct escheat property reporting, on-going analysis and participate in audits.

  • Execute all deliverables by adhering to standard accounting principles and compliance requirements.

  • Perform research and planning on a pro-active, reactive, and as-directed basis

  • Provide timely responses to questions and issues generated by or impacting operating personnel or outside auditors

  • Prepare and review escheat property filings and determine filing requirements

  • Work closely with outside consultants and internal departments to gather requested audit data and lead project plans

  • Gather data and conduct thorough analysis to determine exposure for all state escheat property audits and maintain ASC 450 reserve schedules

  • Reconcile various AP, AR, Payroll accounts on monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Identify escheat property refund and savings opportunities

  • Review and improve escheat property policies, procedures and processes

  • 8+ years of experience with escheat property and/or other indirect tax functions


  • 4-year college degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required

  • Advanced degree in Accounting or CPA preferred
