Business Development Manager - SSD & Storage - Western US
Arrow Electronics is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager for its SSD & Storage business in the western U.S. This position can be based in one of several possible locatio ns including , but not limited to-
Orange County, CA
Skilled at building customer, partner, and channel relationships in the Computer, Communications / Data Center, Industrial (IoT), Military and Medical segments to drive incremental sales and opportunity development for SSD & Storage platforms.
Responsible for developing, managing, and creating the relationship between the organization and suppliers, customers and/or vendors within their business group’s specific technologies by establishing and cultivating relationships with key individuals at target companies. Assists with the development and execution of strategy and business development.
Responsible for implementing business development initiatives.
Provides market intelligence; evaluates, develops, and manages market specific sales strategies and new strategic business opportunities.
Ensures execution to sales growth plans. Drives results through demand identification and demand creation opportunities. Specific expertise in using and developing corporate data analysis capability, including CRM tools and capability to drive improved efficiencies of operational processes.
Metric and relationship driven approach to driving sales teams and distributors to secure measurable results.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
A minimum of five (5) years of enterprise software sales experience, preferable in storage solutions
Working knowledge of storage market/industry
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of assigned market, client business and technology issues and the competitive landscape
Ability to present ideas in effectively to individuals or groups and express ideas and information clearly, plus proven relationship building abilities
Proven experience in driving high volume business development and high client satisfaction in complex accounts
Demonstrated ability to lead a virtual sales process in a consultative sales capacity that results in exceeding multiple quota elements
Demonstrated ability to sell and lead delivery of complex engagements and creative solutions
Expertise in establishing trusted advisor relationships up through CXO levels
Ability to exert strong leadership skills to deal with senior client executives as well as align the individual business lines to develop the customized solution
Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and issues in client terms to all levels of management and staff
Software sales and business development experience including cultivating opportunities, qualifying opportunities, scoping work efforts, closing on sales and finalizing contracts
Experience in developing product and solution offerings
Strong interpersonal and people management skills
