Position:

Material Planner

Job Description:

Principal Accountabilities

● Plan and pipeline inventory for low to medium complex customer demand—lower dollar value and/or lower part count.

● Review backlog and shortage reports to assure uninterrupted supply of inventory. Tools would include backlog matching, shortage reports and the Arrow flex reports with minimum customer interaction.

● Prepare Arrow generated forecasts for e-compass. Upload and manage the exceptions generated from the e-compass processing.

● Maintain manual bonds to assure interrupted availability of inventory.

You will be involved with:

  • Understanding a customer's MRP for pipeline evaluation

  • Analyzing a customer's buying patterns against forecasts

  • Analyzing/adjusting product pipelines

  • Evaluating a customer's forecast information and making recommendations

  • Communicating with product management teams to support and relay customer requirements

  • Managing inventory to financial goals

  • Data compilation, comparison and analysis

  • Entering and maintaining sales order and expediting product delivery

  • Process purchase order change requests/schedules

Successful candidates must have:

College degree or equivalent training/experience

  • Possesses the ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to execute a detailed plan to produce efficient and profitable solutions

  • Able to create influential relationships with internal and external customers

  • The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external resources to get results

  • The ability to understand and evaluate metrics and apply process improvement metrics

  • Strong communication skills, proficient with Microsoft applications including Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with Electronic Distribution
