Senior Field Application Engineer
We currently have a vacancy for a Field Applications Engineer in our Melbourne office. You will be responsible for providing technical solutions & support to our customers in application design from our Semiconductors & other electronic component suppliers. You will work collaboratively with the sales team to explore business opportunities and assist in customer design projects to meet their needs and ours.
Specific Duties include:
Visiting, promoting and assisting Design Engineers with their projects.
Manage and maintain project information.
Finding/Identifying new viable opportunities.
Attending and providing technical training.
Confidence and ability to independently organise & present technical workshops with labs to audiences.
Degree in Electronic Engineering or relevant discipline.
The ability to understand and self-train within these as a focus: Analogue, Power Management, Wireless, RF , IoT & Microcontrollers.
Must have some experience with embedded microcontroller hardware development, debugging & tools.
Previous experience in the local electronics industry will be highly regarded and is desirable.
Strong technical background and at least 2 year’s of electronics design experience.
Enthusiasm in design application.
Ability to build and maintain good relationships/network with established customers.
The ability to travel interstate and international will be required.
