Job Description:

As a Production Technician II, you will be required to excel in the areas of quality, quantity, teamwork, and work habits. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • May assist level I Technician where applicable based on business.

  • Perform set up and testing of computer equipment and components with software programs, including those required to troubleshoot, test, and erase computer hardware.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting on units missing hardware using established test equipment and procedures.

  • Analyze symptoms displayed by unit to determine pass or fail status of computer hardware

  • Perform major mechanical troubleshooting and repair

  • Technical experience working with various server hardware, including HDD arrays, RAID setup

  • Command line experience working with DOS, Cisco, highly desired

  • Disassemble, remove, and replace computer components, which may include computer memory, hard drives, or AC adapters.

  • Maintain a safe work environment and exceptional housekeeping by following established safety procedures including wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

  • Maintain required quality and production levels

  • Maintain administrative related duties in a timely manner (i.e. reports, timely punches at time clock, etc.)

  • Clean, package, and box items for resale.

  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1-3 years of relevant work experience

  • Capable of typing at 50-60 WPM

  • Ability to use software for data erasure on Laptops, Desktops, Hard Drives and Servers.

  • Must have strong attention to detail for written documentation for all test procedures

  • Ability to identify a variety of computer equipment.

  • Ability to follow written directions to perform test and data erasure steps on mobility devices such as cell phones and tablets.

  • Ability to identify basic computer devices including, PC’s, laptops, HDD’s, printers, networking, monitors.

  • Intermediate to advanced level unit testing experience and ability to operate in an assembly-line environment

  • Good working knowledge of computer components and ability to perform basic repairs on laptops and desktop computers.

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel)

  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills
